Sonya

Description: The petty and self-serving "frenemy" of the group. Sonya is overly confident with an air of quiet chaos who strategically inserts herself into Tasha’s life when it benefits her. She seems well put-together on the surface but often comes across as tone-deaf and opportunistic, mixing passive-aggressive jabs with fake caring gestures.

 

Personality Traits: Passive-aggressive, manipulative, vain, and opportunistic but undeniably fun to watch.

 

Supporting Characters:

 

Ms. Lisa

Description: The cool but tough owner of Club Envy. She embodies authority infused with maternal energy, often giving Tasha blunt advice that comes from a place of care. She runs the comedy club with precision and keeps everyone in line, all while carrying the legacy of her late husband.

Big Rob

Description: The towering but soft-hearted bouncer at Club Envy. Beneath his intimidating exterior is a thoughtful and encouraging mentor figure who offers sage advice when Tasha most needs it. He sees potential in people and isn’t afraid to challenge them to rise above their struggles.

Laron

Description: The flirty bartender who constantly banters with staff and patrons at Club Envy. He’s a playful joker who can devolve into mischief but ultimately means well.

Dr. Patricia Bowman

Dr. Patricia Bowman is Tasha’s mother. She is a polished and driven cosmetic surgeon who worked tirelessly to build her career, embodying the idea of perfection her daughters grew up striving for—whether they wanted to or not. She holds high expectations for her daughter, and often debates her unconventional choice.

 

Brian Carter

Tasha’s ex-fiancé, is a good looking charismatic yet unreliable smooth-talker in his mid-thirties. Brian is impulsive, noncommittal, and prone to chasing pipe dreams without ever seeing them through. Magnetic and full of charm, he easily won Tasha over with his big ideas and adventurous spirit, but behind his confident, carefree exterior lies a reckless streak that wreaked havoc on her life.

 

Dr. Monica Edwards (ALREADY CAST)

Tasha’s younger sister is the embodiment of perfection—or at least, that’s the image she’s determined to maintain. Highly competitive and ambitious, Monica has spent her life striving to outdo Tasha, whether it’s vying for their parents’ attention or checking off life milestones first. From graduating medical school to getting married before Tasha—purely out of spite—Monica’s every move feels like a calculated bid to stay ahead.

 

Mr. Lawrence Bowman

Mr. Lawrence Bowman is a meticulous and pragmatic accountant in his 60s, known for his calm demeanor and unshakable sense of order. As a father, Lawrence was traditional yet nurturing, emphasizing hard work, responsibility, and financial stability. 

 

Mickey (Mentioned)

Description: The late husband of Ms. Lisa and former owner of Club Envy. While not seen, Mickey's legacy is mentioned as a guiding force for Ms. Lisa's drive to keep the club running and support new comedic talent.

 

ASIA (Day Player)

Description: Tasha’s competitive ex-colleague, who struts in with an air of entitlement. Always looking to one-up her, she serves as Tasha's comedic nemesis throughout their interactions.

 

Obnoxious Customers (Club Envy)

Receptionist (Day Player)

The Receptionist is a stern, efficient woman in her late 30s to early 40s, expertly managing the front desk of a busy cosmetic surgery practice. Her no-nonsense demeanor contrasts sharply with the clients’ exuberance, creating comedic moments that highlight their playful disregard for rules. Impeccably dressed in professional attire, her tidy workspace reflects her serious and organized nature.

 

Dr. Silva (Day Player)

A flamboyant plastic surgeon who enters the scene with a dramatic flair. He is characterized by his humorous and theatrical demeanor, displaying confidence in his abilities as he interacts with Tasha, Sonya, and Ms. Lisa during their consultation for cosmetic procedures

 

Museum Owner (Day Player)

Description: The Museum Owner is bougie, uptight and dramatic, with a penchant for grandiloquent statements. Played as somewhat comical, his character adds tension to Tasha's mission and serves to highlight her determination to defend her friend's work.

Steve

Description: Steve is introduced as Brian's sponsor and life partner, and he embodies a confident, calm demeanor that contrasts with Brian's earlier persona. Generally in his early  - 50s, Steve is sharply dressed, reflecting his successful lifestyle and newfound commitment to sobriety. He carries an air of maturity and wisdom, likely acquired through both personal experience and his role in helping others navigate their challenges.

 

Nail Tech 1

Description: Nail Tech 1 is the male character who interacts with Tasha at the nail salon. They provide a bounce-off point for comedic exchanges, especially concerning Tasha’s awkwardness and disguise-related antics. Although not a main character, they add a layer of humor to the episode's portrayal of Tasha's anxiety over running into her previous nail tech.

 

Nail Tech 2

Description: Nail Tech 2 is the new technician Tasha is trying out. While they may not play a significant role, their interactions do help display Tasha's inner conflict about loyalty and change, serving as a reminder of the different phases of her life.
